Prospective Students

Graduate Student Admissions

Dr. Ross is anticipating accepting a new graduate student to start in Fall 2024. Prospective students who have a strong interest in obesity research, health promotion, and health behavior change are encouraged to apply.

Graduate students both in Clinical & Health Psychology and in the Social and Behavioral Sciences concentration in the Public Health Ph.D. program are expected to be very active in research throughout their graduate training. The Health Promotion Lab is best suited for students who are pursuing research-oriented careers. In addition to contributing to overall lab projects, graduate students in our lab are encouraged to work on individual projects that can lead to publishable manuscripts and presentations at national conferences (e.g., the annual meetings of the Society of Behavioral Medicine and the American Public Health Association).

If you are interested in applying to the Clinical & Health Psychology PhD program: you can learn more about our program and meet with Dr. Ross at our two fall Zoom Doctoral Program Information Sessions (occurring at 6pm ET on September 21 and October 5).
